Calculations at the bureau level aggregate investment data based on the investment's bureau rather than the funding sources’ bureau(s). For example, if an investment is managed by bureau A, but has funding from sources at bureau A and B, its funding will only appear under bureau A.
The Budget Account tab above identifies funding source bureaus, derived from the 2-digit code in the OMB Budget Account (xxx-XX-xxxx) of each funding source. These codes refer to “bureau codes” identified in Appendix C of OMB Circular A-11. The “Total FY2013 Spending” in this tab includes both Agency Funding and Agency Contributions.
Evaluation by Agency CIO
The agency CIO evaluates every investment and assigns a score from 1-5. Visit the FAQs for details on the factors CIOs use to rate an investment.
Navigating the IT Portfolio
The default list view shows summary information about each agency. Click on an agency to drill-down to its bureaus and investments. Alternatively, click on the "Investments" tab to go straight to the complete list of all major IT investments.
Trend Data
Project level cost and schedule information was introduced with updated Exhibit 300 Guidance in 2011 for the President's FY2013 Budget. Trend data for projects begins in September of 2011.
